Anu over at Nalle’s House is doing a weekly portrait of her kids project. I thought this was a lovely idea, so I stole it. Or, well, I’m going to try to do it, too. There’s an actual weekly link-up where a whole bunch of people post their pictures here at Practising Simplicity, but I don’t know that I’m going to do that part.
Mostly I just want to make myself break out of my portrait comfort zone, which is pretty much sitting kids in a chair and taking pictures of their faces. I love all my kid face pictures–don’t get me wrong–but I’d like to work more on getting more candid shots. I’m trying to make sure I get at least one decent pic of each kid each month. Uhh, starting in February. Because that’s what I did.
Anyway, I’ll post them once a month, and I’ll try to keep myself to my one or two or three favorites from each week.

Aaah! now I have no excuse not to finish my project. 😉 I’ve actually been contemplating whether the weekly post is too much and to switch to a monthly version like you’re doing. We’ll see what happens and whether I’ll be able to keep it up.
Love all the action shots. The hug is too cute! I think these all capture the simple everyday moments so nicely.
