So, predictably, I’m not really going to have that weekend trip recap ready for today. We spent yesterday picking up our newest foster dog and getting her settled in, so I’m just going to provide an adorable puppy picture to get your weekend off to a good start instead.
Merengue is a four month old border collie mix. She’s very sweet and clearly she’s pretty much the cutest puppy EVER. She also has lots of energy, barks at the cats (who, to be fair, have not been very nice to her), and has knocked Abe over twice so far with her boundless enthusiasm. We’re fostering her for Road Trip Home, which means she’ll be going to New England on a transport next month instead of us finding her a home here. Which is nice in that we know exactly when she’s leaving and we don’t have to give up valuable Saturdays going to adoption events, and also kind of sad because we won’t get to meet the people who adopt her.
Anyway, LOOK at her!
I know, right? Happy weekend!
ughhhhh I love her.
Awww, that face! The whole barking at cats and knocking children over reminds me of my own furry child.
aaaaaw, she is adorable!
Beautiful!
Isn’t she a lovely girl? 🙂
Adorable!!! Enjoy her friend!!!! Nicole xo
What a cutie!
So sweet. Don’t you want to keep her 😉 ?
My neighbor’s just adopted a dog that came on a transport from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. She is a cutie too.
Ha–after a week with her, I can say that I very much do not want to keep her, though she’s super sweet. Too much puppy!
Oh she is so adorable!!
Isn’t she?! Exhausting, too 🙂
What a cutie! Hope you had a good weekend!
Merengue is such a beautiful dog! I also wanted to say thank you so much for being a foster. I adopted my dog Gatsby, who was fostered and rescued in Texas, sight-unseen as he was flown up to me in Vancouver, Canada. I know that I owe so much to his foster family for giving him the best possible start. It must be a difficult but very rewarding journey for you 🙂
Aw, thanks so much, Lauren! Merengue went off to Massachusetts a few weeks ago and was adopted up there within a few days 🙂
